A language is just a tool. They're like different kinds of saws. For some problems you need a hacksaw and for others a chainsaw.
If you've got a high degree of data intense manipulation, then VFP is the way to go. If not, then maybe C#.
In some cases you can employ an n-tier solution. Let VFP handle the data intense things, and pass the results back, via XML, to C#.
Programming isn't about languages. It's about solving problems.
