>Hi Ivan,
Hi Gary !!!
I didn't do it ... I didn't do it ... It wasn't me, I swear !
>Can I assume that when you create the Grandchild record, it definately has a parent record? If so, is its parent record already committed (Saved)?
Yes, you can assume that. The parent is there. There are two grids in the page, and it is there in one line of it, selected.
>Is the grandchild table a VFP table and what is it indexed on?
The grandchild, as the other tables, are free tables.
>How have you specified the relationship between the grandchild record and its parent record.
In the CDE, through a pk field of the parent, into the corresponding field of the grandchild
>What code is in your AfterNew method for the grandchild record.
None
>What code is in your AfterRequery/AfterNav methods for your grandchild record.
None
>How are you assigning the PK for the grandchild record.
You mean the PK of the parent of it, for the relation ? If so, I'm not assigning it. As in its parent, which is a child of the main one, and its working fine there.
The problem occurs only in this grandchild grid. The child ones work fine, I have 4 pages in this pageframe, everyone of them with child grids. Even if I edit the contents of the bottom line of the grandchild, and them click the save button in the main toolbar, the record point jumps to the firs occurence of the grandchild grid.
>That's it for now <s>. Awaiting hearing from you soon.
Hope you are having a nice weekend.
Thanks for your help, as usual.
