I am wondering how TV DVD recorders play Closed Captions in comparison to traditional VHS tape recorders. Here is what I am talking about.
When watching a program recorded on a VHS tape with Closed Captions and you press a Pause button the picture freezes but the Closed Captions are gone. That is, you can only see the Closed Captions when the tape is rolling.
I was wondering if anyone has ever watched a program recorded on a TV DVD and if you press the Pause button, do Closed Captions disappear too?
