William,
I am using Dreamweaver to layout and design my ASP.NET pages, not to deploy or manage the page/code behind. Dreamweaver is used mainly for interface design and to drop validators, nothing else. The pages should still be initiated in a VS project and the code behind pages/programming/logic are done within VS.
Dreamweaver is used only for page design/layout. The reason I have a DumpControls is to make sure all the controls that I put on the page using Dreamweaver are declared and accounted for in the code behind.
Use VS as usual, but modify your aspx pages using a more powerfull web editor.
