replace pno with thisform.pno.value...........pno is name of combo and also name veriable

Just set the ControlSource of the combo box to Alias.Field and you do not need any code to make this happen (except a tableupdate somewhere to save all the changes to the record).

As long as the field is numeric or character data, you can bind the control.
