I think I asked this question before but forgot the answer and can't seem to find the older thread.
When I go on a customer site I often times need to install some files. I usually bring the files in a ZIP format, copy the ZIP file to the drive. Then I have a batch file and an old DOS version of PKZIP25.EXE that will unzip the files. The content of the batch file is simple:
PKZIP25 -EXTRACT MYFILES.ZIP
But if I try to execute the Batch file on an UNC drive (that is not mapped to a Letter) it won't work. Double clicking on the Batch file does nothing. And if the customer does not have WinZip installed, I am stuck. And I don't want to install anything on their PC (like WinZip) and I cannot map the drive.
Is there a way to run some other type of Batch file that will call my PKZIP25.EXE? Any other suggestions, please?
