ok, here's an easy one:
I am trying to protect our VFP tables located on a server. the problem i have is that some user are accesing the table via odbc with excel.
i want to avoid that. so i was thinking about granting access to one particular user on the active directory and then let my application to impersonate that user.
any pros and cont???? and of course, would you guys be so kind of leting me know hoe to do so?
the other thing i want to achieve is to write to the registry with out the need of declaring an user as power user or administrator. the user has to be on the restricted users to avoid writing the registry, but the aplication must write to the registry.
best regards
