Hi,
The install has either been moved from it's original location or the install screwed the registry settings.
Look at the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\Folders to see if they point to the correct location, and alter them if they are not correct.
It is the autorepair function trying to repair what it thinks is a damaged install.
Also do you have Norton's running, if so disable it and reinstall.

>>>On only one laptop, I've got a problem that our application keeps on installing components while the application is running. It seems that each time the application loads an ActiveX control (Microsoft, Leadtools) or event the VFP8 runtime, Installshield pops up to install the component. saying "Please wait while Windows configures Myapp". At a certain point it keeps doing that and you'll have to hit cancel to proceed.

>>>I'm sure it hase something to do with the configuration on the laptop, but I don't have a clue what to do. Foxhelp does not run at all. On other workstations (clean without anything installed before) it works like a charm.
