I am looking for a good example of adding a record and saving it.

I have a table, using optimistic buffering I would like to know the perfect code to place in the ADD button to add a new record with a unique ID.

Then I would like to know the PERFECT code to place in the SAVE button with the possibility of update or revert.

Also I would like to know where to place BEGIN TRANSACTION and END TRANSACTION.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
