My brother lives in Miami, and my mother lives in Tallahasee.

My sister-in-law is terrified of coming to see us because of
'all the earthquakes'.

Earthquakes occur arround the world all the time.

Most are negligable, but some are felt and do damage. The last
quake that caused any real damage was the Northridge quake in
1994, 11 years ago.

There have been 21 tropical storms this season alone, with
4 or 5 making landfall. This is a yearly ritual.

The damage produced by these storms dwarfs that of the occasional
earthquake here in Californai, yet people from Florida fear coming
here.

Go figure.

>>You must be getting used to them this year. And there is still another few weeks of the hurricane season to go . Good luck

>Thanks! I've "been used to them" for years. I lived through Andrew in 1992. We'll be OK.
