When I was young we did a tour of covered bridges in Iowa. I really enjoyed it. While most people are aware of the covered bridges in Iowa, not many are aware of Ed Gein of Wisconsin (thank goodness). There are good things about Wisconsin too though - such as the black soil, the beautiful fall colors (the prettiest in the nation IMHO), House on the Rock, Wisconsin Dells, the beautiful lakes, wilderness trails, and of course the eastern lake coast. Now if only it wasn't so cold... :o)
By the way, one of the best restaurants I've ever eaten at is Club 23 - it used to be a family owned restaurant on Hwy 23 near the Dells.
>Wow, growing up in Northeast Iowa I thought I would have heard about that. This is new to me, and very creepy.
