I would use a select statement on the account number ordered by the date into a temporary cursor instead

>I have a customer table and a transactions table I need to relate. I want to sort the transactions table by date yet relate it to the customer table by account number. Is there a way to create a compound index with account number & date yet relate the customer table into the transactions table by just the account number part? Or maybe another way? I'm just trying to view the transactions for a selected customer in date order and am trying to read the transactions table directly without creating a cursor so my user(s) can edit the transaction information through a grid control.
