Hi Tom,
The FBI and the CIA used to run "free" events too, to attract a certain kind of people.
Sounds like MS is doing the same kinda thing.
I'd be somewhat reticent to declare them "great events" as it sounds too much like I got really really sucked in big time. "Programmed" exactly as planned, so to speak.
