Run a Cat5e or Cat6 Ethernet cable. These days, any routers and PCs that have wireless capability typically have 100Base-T (wired) Ethernet as well.
Fox apps move so much data over the LAN (wired or wireless) that the connection really needs to be reliable. Typical WiFi in homes runs at 2.4GHz. I personally ran into one home that had a 2.4GHz cordless phone base station near one of the WiFi devices; even with the phone not in use network performance was seriously degraded, if the phone rang/was used the WiFi LAN was completely unusable. Older 900MHz cordless phones still have their uses :)
A lot of other wireless devices also work at 2.4GHz and can cause interference e.g. wireless speakers, headphones etc. Another crowd-pleaser is microwave ovens - your kid nukes a pizza pop, you lose your data ;)
Seriously, if you want reliable data transmission for Fox, run a wire.
If you absolutely, positively have to go wireless you could try a dual band (2.4GHz + 5GHz) unit but that would mean updating all your networking devices, with no guarantee of better reliablity. Overview:
