Yes, this is true, as hard as it is to admit it for me as the book's Technical Editor. I tried to keep the examples and accuracy as good as possible, but from an architectural standpoint, most of the approaches are not the best, and this happens both in the VFP and .NET side of the book. All in all, the book techniques can be applied for simple and quite small applications, but are not well suited to apps that can grow (something that we always should assume can happen if we are looking for success). Scalability, integration, physical layering, etc, are not easily fitted into this model, so I would warn anyone to take the book as an interesting beginner's introduction, but I also recommend Kevin's one as a more advanced and appropriate for a wider range of development.
See you,
