There are othe problems with DBI - some of controls when addressed with an Add.node type of syntax require that every fourth "add" be repeated (or done twice).

I do not know why developers use those controls when they have the same controls MS uses in it's desktop apps available for free.

Looking fancy don't make the app better - it's a diversion - use the MS controls unless you get something really specific from a thirdparty that only that control can do. We got OLE and COM and OCX - only a very specialized app would need to step away from the standard control user's work with every day/
