Thanks for this response. It is very good advice but unfortunately this is a new Dell with XP service pack 2 already on it. I could not find a way to roll back the patches inside add/remove programs. Perhaps I just don't know where to look.
I was on a desperate timeframe because UPS had come to integrate the software so I ended up having to use a CSV ODBC driver and write a VFP program to shuttle the data into a CSV text file. YUCK!!!! But at least it is working.
