>Care to dileneate what made the conference so "fantastic"? Was it jello shots, a toast to Tom Rettig, golf cart polo, George Goley with a super soaker on stage, etc?

The main thing that made it most special for me, John, was that after talking with the members of the Fox team I became very relaxed about the future of my favorite tool. From those conversations I conclude that two things will be happening:
1) VFP will continue to be extended, but exclusively with VFP, without opening the vfp9.exe except for bug fixes and to include new necessary hooks, just as we have been told.
2) This will liberate Calvin to work with the .NET team, to bring the features we love in VFP to .NET, especially to VB. The features I mean are: good SQL Select support (better than VFP's in fact), including a local data store and a dynamic language. I interpret that this last may eventually lead to macros, runtime evals and compiles, the stuff you need to do data driven stuff.
It seems like the best of both worlds and a very good use of human resources.
