Hi,

Could someone explain how I might help bandwidth with the two NIC's (1Gb) that are in the server. Currently the server is only using one NIC's to a single switch. I'm hoping that using the second NIC (turning it on actually) will improve the response that the users see.

John

If there is a way that you can make the other NIC will received packets and make the other one to send back packets then its possible. The benefit of using dual NIC aside from using to connect two different segment of network is NIC failover. Even if you make your 2 physical NIC into 1 and use a switch, its not much when it comes to performance. The best thing you can do is add a second processor if your server supports dual processor and enable hyper-threading.

This is the best thing I think if you want performance on your server...
