Okay, you are correct, I didn't answer that question. I am using Visual C# Express 2005 Beta 2 and was trying to Add a new data source. I was not able to do so and there was an error sayign that I was connected, but then there was a problem. The error does not make clear what the problem was.

>>This is SQL Server 2005 Express Edition. I am only trying to use the menu item that says \Data then \Add Data Source<

>OK, I'm lost now. I asked you which Visual Studio you're using, not which SQL Server. You said in your first post that you were trying to add a DataSet (to what? a form?). I don't see a menu item that says "Data | Add Data".

>>My installation of SQL Server 2005 Express does not work. The connection wizard uses OLEDB.<

>What do you mean your installation did not work? If it didn't work, I don't see how you can access it from Visual Studio. Am I missing something?
