Yes it is actually, esp as it belongs to, and is much visited by, francophones - I hadn't considered that. It's also interesting that the word "arse" can get through, but not "a
ss", which was invented by the puritanical early Americans, to avoid saying "arse", and is another, innocent word for a donkey anyway. :-)
