>A lot of the British comedy series play well here. We did have Blackadder re-run more than a few times. Mr. Bean of course, The Two Ronnies, Some mothers do have 'em, Monty Python obviously, Fawlty Towers, Butterflies, Good Neighbours, The Thin Blue Line, Are You Being Served. And many more.

>I thought they were all excellent with the possible exception of Fawlty Towers. I know I'm a heretic for saying that, but while there were some very funny moments in it, John Cleese was just a little too 'over the top' for me. A little too much screaming and yelling for my tastes.
Agree about fTowers - Cleese just wasn't at home at all.
Speaking of "being served" - it's incredible that that piece of junk comes from the same pens that wrote "Allo, allo", which was hilarious. Pretty much the same thing as with Fawlty towers, when you put good authors into an environment that doesn't fit them, it just doesn't work.
