>And I thought these guys were professed "fiscal conservatives", yet they have created the biggest deficit in history. More spending, more corruption. When will this end?
The Republicans are no longer conservatives. They are neo-conservatives. What is that?
1. Liberal foreign policy
2. Powerful federal government
3. Conservative domestic social policy that "herds the sheep"
It is really a powerful political force to be reckoned with. If you'd like it to end an equally powerful political force must exist.
I suggest that users of technology become that force. We should only vote for candidates who:
1. register themselves on a website/wiki as candidates where they can be compared side-by-side to other candidates
2. use online forums such as this one to debate fellow candidates
3. have a blog and communicate directly and openly with voters
We have the power to create a movement that makes these demands.
I call it Techmocracy, but I haven't created the software yet.
If someone has the ability to create a wiki as the basic structure of Techmocracy, we could get to work on this next week, fleshing out pages for the upcoming city council and governor races and their candidates happening all over the country.
And then we can vote for the movement this Nov 6th by voting for 3rd parties that take part in Techmocracy.
If you're interested in fixing somethings, I think this is the most promising idea yet.
