Granted there are many companies who will follow M$ down the VB path but I've found that there still exist companies who don't mind VFP and are developing some rather sizeable apps with it. Will I be learning other stuff......I'm sure I will although I'll probably be leaning towards C++ rather than VB. I can't see going from an OOP tool to one that is not. If VFP dies tomorrow, I'll just take my relational database experience and go learn Oracle and my OOP knowledge and learn C++.

If we spend the time moaning all the time, then that's a waste of our time. M$ is going to do what suits them.....and that's make $$. Sure, let's tell Mr. Green when they really screw up and leave out a good development product from the mix,

Steve,

While I did say that the message of JVP is an eye opener: my eyes was opened and beginning to conclude that MS attention on VFP is just to pacify VFPers and to stick our investment on MS tools because we (VFPers), will certainly not go to VB. 500,000 VFPers is not a small number remember, though that projection is too small.
