Bob,
>Correct me if I am wrong, but, does CBMM not even use dbcx at all? It seems to me that it is not even instantiated.>
Most Mere Mortals developers who are looking for dbcx support are already using Stonefield Database Toolkit with our framework, so we have focused on enhancing other areas of the Framework rather than duplicating this functionality.
>There is supposed to be support for INTL but, what about the labels for the other languages. They all have to be hard coded on the forms?>
>OR, am I missing something here... does CBMM get the labels for the fields from data somewhere? If I plug in SDT, what does that get me, other than the file recovery stuff?
If you're looking for multi-lingual support for labels, etc. I recommend using INTL since it is specifically designed for this purpose. Although Stonefield will allow you to specify captions for specific fields, INTL goes further by allowing you to specify ALL strings in your application (captions for buttons, message boxes, etc.)...not just those related to database fields. Stonefield is a great tool for the additional database functionality it provides.
