>What is 64-bit going to gain you? VFP runs fine on 64 bit. Also, keep in mind that 64 bit will find it's way into the server room LONG before it hits big on the desktop. Running your standard VFP app will be no different, as it is typically run on the desktop.

As I said, it is a long term strategy. We want to run our application in optimal mode in the OS. In the future, we also plan to have web portal to our database through ASP.NET which will run on a server. We want to be able to reuse the business logic DLL there instead of recreating it.
