>My wife wants me to take up some activity to reduce stress. She mentioned golf, which I related to my friend Grant, who plays golf in a religious manner. Grant said, “Golf is a four letter word! That is the last thing you want to do to release stress”!
I agree with your friend. At first golf can be a bit frustrating. But as you get better it is very enjoyable.

>When I was 17 in Air Force Basic Training I got the flu and pneumonia. I had a 106.8 temperature and almost died. My weight dropped 40 pounds in two weeks. It took two years to gain back the weight.
Thanks God you lived through it. :)
>After Basic Training I was stationed at Orlando, Florida. The guys I worked with took me out to a golf driving range to hit a few balls. My first and last attempt to hit a golf ball was not encouraging. The ball went 30 feet behind me and I just gave it up! :)
You gave up too soon. Golf is a game of will and mental strength.
What did you expect? Did you expect to be like Jack your first time out?
Go back to it. It's never too late to play golf.... unless you're dead....:)
