Net is not done for desktop applications, it is perfect for web-applications.
My advice is if you will move to web based solution - .Net is your choise otherwise stick with VFP

If someone elects to stick with VFP - that's their decision.

But to say ".NET is not done for desktop applications", that's just not true. I'm doing it, my clients are doing it, and many businesses are doing it.
