I was just hoping that you had missed that post and that you had done a crapload of IR programming in .NET :)
I just can't understand why the heck they want to use the IR port on a laptop or a Tablet PC when they can use the IR on a Pocket PC and then sync the data from the Pocket PC to the PC. :)
