Yes Bonnie,
That was the reason we to use SOA and web-services and to not develop .Net C/S applications in a way MS recommend :-)
That was the reason we to move all dataprocessing in SQLServer.

I can recommend as good example done from us, ordered by ChequeSource apllication for printing of Bank Cheques, which use SOA too.
But it is not C/S application. :-)
It work in all Canada and North part of US.
