I have converted VFP projects to 7 and 8. But I rebuild the project in the most newer VFP version and then use ISE that came with that version to create the distribution.

I have heard that professional InstallSHield has a "scan" feature to determine what modules are needed. The VFP 6 setup wizard works okay for VFP 6.

One thing I learned is that with OCX,and VFP > 7, is that a VCX parent class is required. So if you addobject or define class in VFP 6 with the oleclass you would need to create a VCX for your app to properly reference the oleclass. IOW: oleclass for PRG OCX classes will only work in design mode (full VFP license).
