Hi Calvin,
I was happy to see in your presentation that VB9 will do SQL SELECT the "right way". Your influence will show the VB team a very fruitful direction. I am not a VB developer but want to have some sort of migration path and rest easy knowing you have an influence there.
While you are at it see if a command sequence equivalent to his can be done in VB9:
lcField1 = 'aaa'
lcWhere = 'cfield1 = lcField1'
SELECT * FROM xxx WHERE &lcWhere INTO CURSOR yyy
That would permit data driven programming! VB developers will ooh and aah.
