Now that I learned from Jim Winter how to view Data Session window as the form is opened and closed, I observed the following.
When the form is closed Data Session shows a session Unknown(4) which has alias of the cursor created in the modal (private data session form). And this cursor was created with SQL Select From the table with which I am/was having the problem. I don't know if it means anything though.
