Joel,

>Is there a means of “simply” converting a VFP application to a Web Application???

Running an app over the web via Remote Desktop / Terminal Services or Citrix is a very viable way to go if you can't afford the time and expense of a rewrite. Because that's about the only way to get your existing user interface to run over the web, it's probably the best choice.

I'm running a VFP9 app on a Citrix cluster right now, talking to a central SQL Server. The app will ultimately have several hundred users hosted on the cluster. So far, the performance is very good, even over the very slow internet connection I'm using in one of their remote offices.

The other choice is to further define just what functionality you want and make your decision based on that. For example, if you want the entire application's functionality, take the route I outlined above or prepare yourself for a long conversion / rewrite. However, if all you need are some reports and a few simple data entry screens that all talk to your main data store, you might accomplish that in just a few weeks with Web Connection or even with ASP.NET.
