Funny thing about that "fold" business. The Sox were playing about .500 baseball during that time. The Indians just got incredibly hot. Something like 17-2 during that period. As Nietzche said, "What doesn't kill me, makes me stronger." That certainly was the case here. Of their last 17 games, they went 16-1.

The biggest thing, however, was that it was a real "team". Everybody pulling in the same direction for a common goal. Something too rare these days in sports. Dye got the MVP for the World Series, but really you could've given it to Konerko, Crede, Buerhle, or even Blum.
