If you have many files in the DE, you can spped things up by having the files already open. On my machine, I have a copy of my forms in a temp directory. I open two sessions of VFP, in the first I Do Form temp\myform, and minimize it. This means all tables are open, and when I Modi Form myform in session 2, all tables are already open.
