In reading all the analysis' over the last couple days, opinions fall into 2 camps, 1) What was done was incredibly awful. The administration was so focused on starting a war in Iraq, so determined that this action must occur, that anyone voicing a disenting voice must be destroyed 2) Eh, what's a little perjury among friends.

I find it rather hypocritical that those who support the current administration because of their religious beliefs, are also willing to stand behind option (2).

Unfortunately, this is where having someone with no conscience as Rove on your side comes in handy. He recognized that appealing to peoples moral beliefs would garner much support. Even if there was no reality to back up the speeches.
