Looking for a process so that an installed VFP application with an internet connection will "communicate" with me.

When users first run the VFP app it generates a key. This key allows for an extended evaluation period but also provides a mechanism for me to receive information about the prospect. My solution right now offers a MAPI / Outlook method and a SMTP service depending on the client mailer. When the user requests an activation all that is really happening is the application sends both the user and me a copy of the email with activation key. Hokey - okay - I agree.

Times have changed. There seems a trend to use browser based (WEB DAV?) clients. IOW - users may not have an outgoing mail.

I would like to to something like the way MS sends error reports from the desk top. My service includes ASP (i have no idea how to use it!). I was thinking I could use a local VFP DOM http instance to pass some data to an unseen page on my site that would load the data and parse it as a request to ASP to send me and the prospect "that" email. SQL is also available but for the time being i do not need to record this stuff. Some other transfers may have more than a 1000 characters of data.
