Steve,
I'm working on a very similar app right now, just starting this phase of setting up a report server that will take SQL requests from client machines, run the query and send them back the result.
>These were the responses I was looking for when I posted a similar question but received one reply basically indicating "no". I'll have to try your suggestions and will let you know. I looked back at Gary DeWitt's Aug 1997 Active X Automation Server article but he never returned a cursor....only filled properties that could be used by a VB form. The app I'm working on is 99% data retrieval for analysis so showing the results of cursors/views is a must. I suspect that this is the role that ADO will play but I don't have that yet although I understand it ships with 6.0.
