I grew up in NYC and Trick-or-Treat was always Halloween night (31st). As I moved around the country I found the same in upstate NY (Binghamton and Rochester), New Jersey, Florida (Orlando, Tallahassee), Texas (Austin), and now CA (Bay Area).

The only place which was any different was Iowa where Beggar's Night is on the 30th.
