There are two things in play here... Avalon (Windows Presentation Foundation, WPF) and Windows Vista Ux (User Experience). They are not the same thing.
To use WPF, you'll need to use XAML-based or .Net-based forms, that can then hook into VFP data. You may be able to get the Vista Ux with native VFP forms, but I haven't tried it yet.
