Your picture is extremely difficult to make out, but you don't have the values evaluated in the < < > >, so it can't be executed properly.
Never mind the above, I now see the TEXT/ENDTEXT. I still don't think you have it formatted correctly. What you have to end up in the variable is a completely valid SQL statement. EXECTSCRIPT might have a problem putting the results into your array if it's defined as LOCAL in the calling routine.
As far as setting _TALLY, you can't do that, it's a result, not something you can really set the value of.
