>>>As for your problem with marketing where would you see it. I mean it's the conferences & events section. If not here where else?

I guess you didn't catch the misuse of the word grate either? I laughed when I read that.

If I were to write poorly in French you'd WANT to correct me. A Chinese co-worker told me that my improved code was really frying. I couldn't help but laugh. I knew she meant flying, but the incongruity was too much. Frying (as in hot) could refer to performance. However, she got offended. So I told her that even though she was mad I could make her laugh at my Chinese. All I said was "Thanks" - in Mandarin. She actually laughed!

My mother-in-law regularly gets a kick out of my Italian. I learned from these that it's the responsibility of the speaker/writer to get it right, lest he/she get's laughed at. Even when I write in English I have troubles. Ask Tamar Granor!

I'm certain most people don't correct for fear of being branded some kind of racist or something. Who suffers? All. Those who aren't learning and those who are biting their tongues reading it.

Now, I don't usually bother correcting anyone here either, it's free after all, but that's one of the reasons I don't buy the UT magazine. They should take the time to get it right, especially since it's for sale!
