If not, you could start a separate monitoring EXE before you attempt to run the report. This monitoring EXE would use the API to search the window list of your application. If it discovers a File Open dialog, it could use the keybd_event API function to simulate a user pressing the ESC key to close the dialog. The second EXE is necessary, because timers don't fire during a file open dialog.
