Thanks for your reply.

With the Telephone API you have alot more control over incomming and outgoing calls.

I've recently stumble accross an article from Microsoft saying they don't recommend using the provided TAPI wrapper with managed code... so I guess this is why I had so much trouble finding some c# documentation with it.
