>Hello,
>I created a small project in VFP9, finished it, and then added it to Sourcesafe. Now when I try to open it, I get a "Project File is read only" error. Doesn't SS make your local files read only when you check them in? If VFP9 doesn't like opening project files that are read only, is it meant to work with VSS?

This is not unique for vfp9, all previous vfp versions would give that message. You should start SourceSafe and do 'Get Latest / Make Writable' the project files. Then the project will be readwrite again and you will be able to open it.

Important remark: 'Get Latest / Make Writable' is different from 'Check Out'. So, at the time that you want to change something in the project (for example, add a component), you must start SourceSafe and do 'Check Out', even though you already have ReadWrite access!!!!
