Jay;

I do not see why it should matter who we invade. We are Americans and the defenders of liberty, freedom and democracy. Liberty, freedom and democracy come at a price. Sometimes the price is acceptable and at other times it is not. Also, not everyone is going to agree with any military action we take to invade another country. If everyone agreed that would not be much fun! :)

If you look at our countries history of military action against other nations you will see that the reason for engagement is rationalized. There may be some truth to the reason to invade or go to war or there may be a contrived reason.

Just one example of a war we had was the Spanish American War. The Spanish agreed to all terms we demanded to avoid war, and then we invaded. We gained Cuba, the Philippines, etc.

>Okaaaay... Why was that a bad thing? Seriously, not pushing buttons here. Does it really matter how it came about?

>>Invading Iraq has been a goal of the neocons since at least the first Bush administration. Have you been following history? How many have to come forward to state that there was a clear focus on Iraq immediately following 9-11.

>>>Didn't say you did. I asked you if all that is true, why do you think they wanted to invade Iraq?
