Of course, there IS the aesthetics and sanitrary aspect to seat (and lid) position. I think your system is quite equitable, assuming the rest of your household obey their lord and master, and put the lid down otherwise it falls apart and it's left to the males to "do all the work".

motion passed, and put to the rest of the family for approval?
