Why dont you give it a shot if you're so confident with the idea that it DOESNT bother our military personnel. Apparently our administration was not of the same mindset, hence the orchestration. Is it too hard to grasp the concept that being lied to about the purpose of this war is offensive, especially when serving in it?

You're the one being presumptous.

More than half the North Carolina military members surveyed in the latest Elon University poll don't like the way President Bush is handling his job and the war in Iraq. The survey results were released today. Of the 539 adults surveyed, nearly 53 percent of military members said they strongly disapproved or disapproved of Bush's handling of his job. And 56 percent of that same group said they strongly disapproved or disapproved of his handling of the Iraq war. Overall, slightly more than 53 percent of those surveyed did not approve of Bush's job performance, while 57 percent didn't approve of his handling of the Iraq war.

>Are you a soldier? Have you ever been one? Why is it that everyone assumes to know exactly what they are thinking? Exceptionally presumtuous. I would love to hear from people who have actually served on this. They go out and risk - sometimes give - their life to ensure freedom, ours and others, and you take upon yourself to talk for them?

>>Lets take your "ok to lie" position out into the real world shall we.
>>
>>I can see you now giving that speech in a VA hospital to a group of soldiers learning to walk with their new prothesis legs. "You know that nutty lying thing GDub and his group pulled to get us into Iraq ...declaring Iraq an immenant threat, yellowcake, alum tubes, 16 words, curveball, chalabi, ... well guys, not true. Orchestrated." Then you could shoot over to Arlington and repeat it.
>>
>>Jay, you're the one not adding anything.
>>
>>
>>>If you can't see the comparison for how I meant it, then I'm sorry. Though I believe that you do, and just have nothing valuable to add.
>>>
>>>>Just so i understand, you're comparing the lies marketed to us by this administration, that got us into the Iraq debacle, with that of the Santa clause story told to kids? You're killing me.
>>>>
>>>>
>>>>>Every administration, in every country, lies. We lie every single day. As individuals, as companies, as groups, etc. Do you have kids? Have you ever told them something for their own good that was not true? Santa? Why is this whole lying thing for the better good such a big deal? I would think cheating on your wife would be a bigger deal as it addresses directly the morality, but as soon as we believe someone lied, all hell breaks loose. I think it's funny really. Don't you think every politician lies? I find it comforting that maybe this one did because he felt it was in the interest of democracy and freedom, as opposed to creatively smoking cigars.
>>>>>
>>>>>>But the American people were blantently lied to in this case. And it's costing many lives. If the cause for starting this is so noble, why did the administration have to lie?
