Viewed from outside, American politicians wear their religion on their sleeves more than leaders of the other secular western democracies. It is common to see footage of American presidents attending church. I was suprised to learn that our current Prime Minister is practicing Catholic. Ala John Kerry, the Catholic church threaten to not give him communion. This was because he legalized gay marriage in Canada.
